The Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW) marked its 48th founding anniversary on October 10, 2026, with a gathering at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila attended by members, families, supporters, and international delegations.
Carrying the theme “Abba Father,” the celebration focused on God’s fatherhood, love, and mercy. JILCW founder and president Bro. Eddie Villanueva said the church “was not born of human strategy or ambition but was born in the heart of God,” recalling its beginnings in 1978 with 15 students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
JILCW has since expanded its presence to 82 nations and territories.
Villanueva’s children, Sen. Joel Villanueva, Bocaue Mayor Jonjon Villanueva, and Rev. Jovi Villanueva-Binalla, also took part in the celebration.
The Philippine Congress adopted a resolution recognizing JILCW’s nearly five decades of spiritual leadership, outreach programs, and humanitarian service.
