Alay Kapwa Solidarity fund, gagamiting humanitarian response sa Mayon evacuees

Nakaantabay ang social at humanitarian arm ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines sa pagtulong sa Social Action Center ng Diocese of Legazpi kaugnay sa Bulkang Mayon.

Ayon sa situation report ng Caritas Philippines, nakahanda na ang humanitarian team para sa karagdagang tulong bilang tugon para sa Mayon 2023 Emergency Response operations ng SAC Legazpi.

“Caritas Philippines’ Humanitarian Team is on standby for possible deployment to augment the needs of the local Caritas. The Alay Kapwa Solidarity Fund is also prepared to be utilized in any eventually the DSAC will need help augmenting local resources.” ayon sa ulat ng Caritas Philippines.



Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin ang social arm ng simbahan sa iba’t ibang ahensya at organisasyon upang makapangalap ng donasyon para sa mga apektadong pamilya na kasalukuyang nasa evacuation centers.

Kabilang sa mga ito ang Philippine Faith-Based Forum (FBO-PH), Caritas Internationalis member organizations – Catholic Relief Services, Caritas Germany, at Embassy of Israel in the Philippines.

Sa kasalukuyan, inihayag ng SAC Legazpi na higit na kailangan ng mga nagsilikas na pamilya ang mga non-food items tulad ng sleeping mats, cooking utensils, water jugs, at hygiene kits.

Gayundin ang karagdagang palikuran at suplay ng tubig na magagamit para sa paliligo, paghuhugas, at paglalaba ng mga nasa evacuation center.

Sa huling ulat ng Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO), higit 4,000 pamilya o 15-libong indibidwal mula sa 23 barangay na saklaw ng 13 parokya ang kasalukuyang nasa 24 evacuation centers.
