A prayer service was held on Sept. 28, 2022, in Manila for the turnover of the urns of ashes of victims of extrajudicial killings to their families.

The activity was part of the “Paghilom” project spearheaded by Divine Word priest Flaviano “Flavie” Villanueva. It was launched in 2016 to help “drug war” widows and orphans. It is supported by human rights watchdogs and private groups that provide food and health care, legal assistance, spirituality, education, and livelihood for the bereaved families.
