Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her thanks to the volunteers of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) who served in the May 9 elections.
“To the PPCRV and to the many volunteers and volunteer groups who gave their time and effort in conducting the unofficial parallel count, maraming maraming salamat sa inyong lahat,” said the vice president in a video message.
“Alam kong batid ninyo na marami sa ating mga kababayan ang nababahala pa rin sa naging pagdaraos ng huling halalan, tiyak ko kahit papaano ay mas napapanatag sila dahil alam nila na nariyan kayo bilang mga taga-pangalaga ng ating boto,” added Robredo.
She lauded the volunteers for their dedication in ensuring that the rights of people to vote are protected.
“Saludo ako sa pagpili ninyong maglingkod bilang parte ng mekanismong magtataguyod at magpoprotekta sa karapatan nating pumili ng pinuno,” she said.
“Hindi matatawaran ang kahandaan ninyong magpuyat at magpagod kahit hindi madali ang trabaho at walang materyal na kapalit ang inyong sakripisyo,” said the vice president.
“Muli maraming maraming salamat sa inyo, mabuhay kayo at mabuhay ang malaya at malinis na halalan para sa sambayanang Pilipino,” she said.
The PPCRV has deployed about half a million volunteers in about 100,000 centers across the country to help in the conduct of the May 9, 2022, elections.
