“Congratulations and prayers to Archbishop Joe Advincula as he becomes Jose Cardinal Advincula, cardinal priest,” pahayag ni Cardinal Quevedo.

“I remember him as a young priest from Roxas City, assigned to teach theology in the Vigan School of Theology for a few years,” dagdag ng dating arsobispo ng Cotabato.

“He was admired as a teacher and friend of the seminarians. He would attend their ordinations even when he had to return to Roxas City,” aniya.

“He learned to speak Ilocano and would mingle with the Ilocano bishops at the [Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines,” pahayag ni Cardinal Quevedo sa panayam sa Veritas 846.

“Created as a ‘cardinal at the margins,’ Cardinal Joe will surely continue to be a zealous, humble, simple, and loving shepherd of his people,” ayon kay Cardinal Quevedo.
