Taguig parish to stream doctrinal class

A parish in the Diocese of Pasig is offering free online Catholic doctrinal classes every Thursday starting April 23.

Fr. Mark Emman Sese, parish priest of the Our Lady of the Poor Parish in Western Bicutan, Taguig City, uploaded a Facebook video inviting everyone to the weekly catechism classes.

Fr. Sese said he received a suggestion to continue his online catechism classes, making him think about doing his online doctrinal classes.

“Since we have so much time on our hands, I thought of why not make our enhanced community quarantine more worthwhile,” he said.

Fr. Sese, who finished his Bachelor in Sacred Theology cum laude and Licentiate in Ecclesiastical Studies cum laude from the University of Navarra in Spain, said the online doctrinal class will be streamed at 4pm on the parish’s Facebook page.

The priest requested those joining the online class to use the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in either English or Tagalog.

He added that those who do not have a copy of the Compendium may access the digital version of the Catechism thru the Vatican’s website.
