Catholics in the Philippines welcomed Easter with lighted candles outside their homes amid a lockdown across the country due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

Virtual Masses were held online during the observance of the Holy Week in the predominantly Catholic country as people stayed in their homes.

Priests go around their parishes carrying the Sacred Host on top of pick-up trucks to allow the faithful the chance to adore and offer prayers in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
