Boac diocese, Israel Embassy provide repair kits for typhoon-affected families

“This is the first time we have a partnership between the Embassy and Caritas,” said Ambassador Ilan Fluss in a statement

The Embassy of Israel, through its Agency for International Development Cooperation, in partnership with Caritas Philippines and the Diocese of Boac, distributed shelter repair kits to aid the families affected by Typhoon Paeng, which devastated the island province of Marinduque on October 29.

Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss visited Marinduque on December 7 and 8 to meet the recipients in the villages of Cawit, Tabigue, and Laylay in Boac, Marinduque.

The Embassy said 53 families benefited from the emergency response assistance.

“This is the first time we have a partnership between the Embassy and Caritas,” said Ambassador Ilan Fluss in a statement.

He said it s “a very symbolic partnership between the Jewish State of Israel and the Catholic Church of the Philippines.”
