For the first time, Couples for Christ will hold a global conference outside the Philippines — in Italy.
The event will commemorate two major milestones: the 25th anniversary of the Vatican’s recognition of CFC as an international lay association of the faithful with pontifical rights, and the 30th anniversary of CFC’s mission in Europe.
The conference will be held in two phases: May 16–18 and May 23–25, at the Centro Mariapoli Internazionale in Castel Gandolfo, a small town about 25 kilometers southeast of Rome.
Known as one of Italy’s most scenic towns, Castel Gandolfo is home to the Apostolic Palace, which served as the papal summer residence for centuries before being converted into a museum for the public in 2016.
“This is more than a gathering — it’s a celebration of God’s faithfulness to our families and communities through the years,” the CFC Vatican office said.
“We come together as one Church to give thanks, renew our commitment and embrace our mission to evangelize families around the world,” it added.
The event also coincides with the Church’s Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025, themed “Pilgrims of Hope.” Rooted in biblical tradition, a Jubilee Year is a time of renewal, reconciliation, and spiritual restoration for Catholics worldwide.
The global conference aims to reflect this spirit by uniting members from around the world in a celebration of faith, unity, and family renewal.
The gathering will feature talks by cardinals and archbishops from various Vatican dicasteries and archdioceses.
Attendees will also participate in fellowship activities and cultural exchanges, culminating in a commissioning ceremony to send them forth as family evangelizers.
Organizers expect thousands of participants from across continents “to attend, united in faith, hope, and love.”
