The Claretian Missionaries of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province, through its Prefecture of Communications and publishing ministry, Claretian Communications Foundation Inc. (CCFI), will hold the second Conference on Mary (ConMaria) on May 1, 2025.
The event, which will take place at the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Auditorium at the Claret School of Quezon City, is a hybrid conference that invites both onsite and online participation.
With the theme “MAGNIFICAT: Mary’s Manifesto of Hope,” this year’s conference focuses on the Blessed Virgin Mary’s hymn of praise, the Magnificat, as a spiritual declaration of God’s enduring mercy and hope for humanity.
The gathering coincides with the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, the devoted spouse of Mary, and is set within the broader context of the Catholic Church’s celebration of the Jubilee Year of Hope.
The conference seeks to underscore Mary’s role as a spiritual mother whose presence offers comfort, healing, and guidance to the faithful in their daily lives.
Organizers hope to help participants recognize God’s greatness through Mary’s example of humility, obedience, and unwavering faith.
The one-day program will open with remarks from Rev. Fr. Louie Guades III, CMF, Prefect of Communications, and Rev. Fr. Amador Tumbaga, CMF, Provincial Superior of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province.
Three keynote presentations will anchor the day’s sessions. In the morning, Rev. Fr. Rogie Castellano, CP, will present “Healing Hearts: Embracing the Motherhood of Mary,” followed by Rev. Fr. James Cervantes, MIC, who will speak on “The Fiat of Mary: The Fulfillment of God’s Promise.” In the afternoon, Rev. Fr. Sherwin Nuñez, SMM, will deliver the talk “Mary’s Magnificat: A Hymn of Hope.”
Each talk will be followed by breakout group discussions and a moderated Q&A segment. A synthesis and reflection on the day’s discussions will be presented by Ms. Tinnah Dela Rosa. Rev. Fr. Alejandro Gobrin, CMF, Prefect of Spirituality and Community Life, will also deliver a message during the afternoon session.
The conference will culminate in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 4:00 PM. Hosting duties will be led by Mr. Macky Santos.
The event is open to teachers, religious and lay communities, seminarians, clergy, and Marian devotees, aiming to foster deeper reflection on the spiritual and pastoral dimensions of Mary’s Magnificat in light of the Church’s journey of hope.
