Arsobispo ng Mindanao, muling nanawagan ng kapayapaan

Bukod sa pagharap sa kapahamakan na dulot ng armadong sagupaan, patuloy din ang banta ng pandemya sa kaligtasan at buhay ng mamamayan

Kailangang mangibabaw ang kapayapaan at pagkakaisa sa gitna ng krisis na dulot ng pandemya.

Ito ang binigyang diin ni Archbishop Emeritus Antonio Ledesma ng Cagayan de Oro sa paggunita ng “Mindanao Week of Peace” sa linggong ito.

Ayon sa arsobispo, bukod sa pagharap sa kapahamakan na dulot ng armadong sagupaan sa rehiyon ng Mindanao ay patuloy din ang banta ng pandemya sa kaligtasan at buhay ng mamamayan.




“Over the past nine months we have tried to adapt to the new normal due to the pandemic such as wearing face mask, observing social distancing, avoiding public places,” ayon sa obispo.

“Many households have lost their sources of income, some have had death in the family other have gone to the hospital or restricted under quarantine procedure,” aniya.

Higit na kailangan ang pag-uugnay, pagkakaisa, at pagtutulungan ng lahat upang mapagtagumpayan ang pandemya at matamo ang kapayapaan, ayon sa obispo.

“In the midst of this pandemic we have come to realized first our interconnectedness and [it is important that] all of us Christian, Muslims, and Lumad community … reached out to all our brothers and sisters in need especially those who are found in isolated areas,” ayon kay Archbishop Ledesma.

Tema ng Mindanao Week of Peace ngayong taon ang “Dialogue Towards Harmony.”

Ito aynaglalayong patuloy na maisulong ang pagkakaroon ng matagal nang hinahangad na kapayapaan at pagkakasundo sa rehiyon ng Mindanao.
