Filipino Muslims gather at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni in the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, for the early morning congregational prayer marking Eid al-Adha on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the holiest days in Islam, commemorating the faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to God.

The celebration includes prayers, feasts, and the ritual sacrifice of animals, symbolizing generosity and the importance of sharing with the poor.

Families and communities come together to reflect on compassion, humility, and gratitude, while also distributing portions of the meat to neighbors, relatives, and those in need.
