Cardinal Rosales in stable condition in hospital, says report

“He just needs to stay in the hospital for a few more days for monitoring. We continue to pray for him,” said Father Malicdem

Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales, archbishop emeritus of Manila, has been brought to a hospital but is in stable condition, according to a report on CBCP News.

The report quoted Father Reginald Malicdem, spokesperson of the Archdiocese of Manila, who shared photos on social media of the 90-year old cardinal at an unnamed hospital in Metro Manila.

“I visited Cardinal Dency the other day. According to doctors, his condition is stable,” said Father Malicdem, who used to be Cardinal Rosales’ private secretary.

“He just needs to stay in the hospital for a few more days for monitoring. We continue to pray for him,” said the priest.

News spread on social media earlier calling for prayers for the health of Cardinal Rosales, who served the archdiocese from 2003 until his retirement in 2011.
