Radio Veritas Asia mourns death of former general manager

Radio Veritas Asia announced the death of Erlinda So, former general manager of the Catholic media network.

So was the first general manager of RVA, from 1990 to 2000, after the separation of the network’s Home and Overseas services.

She died on September 21, according to Claretian priest Victor F. Sadaya, RVA’s current general manager.



So was a member of “Notre Dame de Vie” (Our Lady of Life), a secular institute.

Before So joined RVA as a part-time content producer and later as a full-time staff member, she was manager of DZJO, a local radio station in Infanta, Quezon.

She was also connected with the National Office of Mass Media with the late Jesuit priest James Reuter.

Erlinda was active in UNDA a Catholic organization for radio that was later incorporated to SIGNIS. She was president of UNDA Philippines and represented the country in international meetings.

In 1990, she was elected president of UNDA Asia, a position she held until 1996.
