Cebu’s leading exorcist dies

The priest served many parishes until he founded the religious sisters, Living the Gospel Community, and religious brothers, Mary’s Little Children Community

The Archdiocese of Cebu announced on Tuesday, September 27, the death of one of its leading exorcists, Monsignor Frederick Kriekenbeek. He was 90.

In a social media post, the archdiocese asked the faithful “to offer special prayers for his eternal rest.”

The priest served many parishes until he founded the religious sisters, Living the Gospel Community, and religious brothers, Mary’s Little Children Community.

“He was one of the pioneering exorcists in the Archdiocese of Cebu,” said the archdiocese.

Msgr. Kriekenbeek also served as episcopal vicar of Catholic charismatic groups in the Cebu archdiocese for many years.
