Cardinal Advincula names new heads of ministries in Manila archdiocese

The cardinal named Father Reginald Malicdem, 43, as archdiocesan spokesperson

Cardinal Jose Advincula of Manila appointed new heads of ministries in the archdiocese in a circular signed on January 20 but was released to the media on Monday, January 24.

The cardinal named Father Reginald Malicdem, 43, as archdiocesan spokesperson. Father Malicdem has been rector of the Manila Cathedral in the past six years.

He used to be the private secretary of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle and his predecessor, Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales.

Cardinal Advincula also announced the appointment of Father Jerome Secillano as head of the Ministry on Public Affairs and Father Enrico Martin Adoviso as minister of the Ministry on Socio-Political Advocacy.

Father Secillano, parish priest of the Nuestra Señora de Perpetuo Socorro Parish in Sampaloc district, will replace Father Atilano Fajardo.

Father Adoviso will also replace Monsignor Hernando Coronel as head of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting in the archdiocese.
