The new prelate will be ordained and installed during Mass at 9:00 a.m. at the San Isidro Labrador Cathedral in Malaybalay.

Monsignor Pedregosa is currently rector of the cathedral. He has also been serving as the administrator of the diocese, which has been vacant since August 2020.

His appointment as bishop was announced by the Vatican on June 29.

The celebration, which will be broadcast online, will take place in accord with social distancing protocols set by the government.

Monsignor Pedregosa will be the fifth bishop Malaybalay, succeeding Archbishop Jose Cabantan of Cagayan de Oro.
