Bishop Pabillo to be installed bishop of Taytay in Palawan on August 19

Bishop Broderick Pabillo will be installed as the new vicar apostolic of Taytay in Palawan province on August 19

Bishop Broderick Pabillo will be installed as the new vicar apostolic of Taytay in Palawan province on August 19.

Father Reynante Aguanta, the vicariate’s administrator, said the installation Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral in Taytay town.

“We priests are still meeting but our baseline is that August 19 is the installation,” Father Aguanta told Radio Veritas on Tuesday.

The vicariate, he added, is also coordinating closely with the local government to better manage the historic event.

Bishop Pabillo is expected to leave Manila for his new post on the second week of August.

Pope Francis appointed Bishop Pabillo as the second vicar apostolic of Taytay on June 29.

The 66-year-old will replace Bishop Edgardo Juanich, who resigned in 2018 due to health reasons.
