Magnitude 5.4 earthquake rocks Aurora province

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake rocked the province of Aurora on Saturday, May 23.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake struck at 10:10 a.m. about 15 kilometers southwest of San Luis town.

The agency said the tremor, which was of tectonic in origin and had a seven-kilometer depth of focus, was felt in several areas of Luzon, including cities in the Philippine capital.
