Archdiocese of Capiz holds online summer catechism program

The Archdiocese of Capiz in the central Philippines will hold this year its annual catechetical program online because of the strict quarantine measures brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

The online talk show dubbed “Pamati” (listen) will be launched on Friday, May 1. It aims to reach out to young people in parishes and mission stations in the archdiocese.

The program will run through the month of May and will be streamed on the archdiocese’s Facebook page.

“Pamati” was inspired by Archbishop Jose Advincula’s episcopal motto “Audiam,” or “I will listen” in Latin.

Participants can ask questions through the comments section of the program, making it more interactive.

The one-hour show will be streamed online from Monday to Friday at 9:30 a.m. with priests and theologians as resource speakers.

On Saturdays, the program will feature testimonies of priests and religious to inspire young people who may wish to enter the religious life or the priesthood.
