Catholic clergy in Infanta prelature back Leni, Kiko candidacies

The priests said their support for Robredo and Pangilinan is a fight “against stealing, distortion of truth and exploitation of the weak”

The clergy of the Prelature of Infanta announced their support for the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate, Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

A report on CBCP News said the priests said it is their duty as Filipinos and God’s disciples “to ensure the future of youth and future generations.”

The priests said their support for Robredo and Pangilinan is a fight “against stealing, distortion of truth and exploitation of the weak.”

“We, the priests of the Prelature of Infanta, are convinced that we will vote for Leni and Kiko, to uplift our country towards an abundant Philippines,” the report quoted the priests.

Their vote for the tandem is also “for the future of all, especially those in the fringes of our society,” they said.

The priests also said that Robredo has the capacity to lead the country, and noted how the presidential aspirant lawyered for the oppressed for free.
