The predominantly Catholic Philippines is known to have the longest Christmas season in the world — starting September 1 until the Feast of the Three Kings in January.
In the national capital, Christmas decors have already sprouted in parks, streets, and shopping malls, while stalls selling Christmas lanterns and decorations begin to line the streets.
The “parol,” a star-shaped Christmas lantern made of bamboo and paper, or metal and “capiz” can be seen hanging on the windows of houses.
