Dominicans to hold virtual concert for COVID-19 front-liners

A virtual concert is coming to Facebook live.

The Dominicans in the Philippines is hosting an online concert with top performing artists to raise funds for medical Covid-19 frontliners and those affected by the pandemic on May 30.

Dubbed as “Gracias: Awit, Pasasalamat, at Paghilom,” the concert is part of the “Tugon OP” project, spearheaded by the Dominican Family for Justice, Pace and Care for Creation.




Performers include Martin Nievera, Jaime Rivera, Jay Durias, Kakai Bautista, Lolita Carbon, Angeline Quinto, Noel Cabangon, Christian Bautista, The Company, Erik Santos, Gian Magdangal, Fr. Giuseppe Pietro Arsciwals, OP, The Joyful Friars and Dulce.

The social action arm of the Dominicans has been distributing PPEs to various hospitals and food packs to poor families and shelters for the homeless in Metro Manila.

The concert will be streamed live at 7:30 p.m. on the Facebook page of the Dominican Province of the Philippines.

Other media partners also include the Dominican Students’ Media Center Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Manaoag Radio, the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene – Quiapo Church, the Manila Cathedral, TV Maria and Veritas846.ph.
